Get to know Osteon

You can experience Osteon Education from home or on site.

On site

An education that frequently hosts open days often portrays the education as it should be, rather than how it actually is. At Osteon, you are welcome to experience your education during each course weekend, just as it is in reality. Check out the practical course weekends here, (Click Practical course weekends) and contact us to book your free practical course weekend, based on availability. You can follow a full course weekend starting Thursday from 10:00 to 18:50, Friday from 8:00 to 18:50, Saturday from 8:00 to 18:50, and Sunday from 8:00 to 13:50, or opt for a few days, a single day, or even part of a day. Choose what suits you best.

• Swap between courses of the four years, as you are our guest, so experience as many different topics and teachers as you want.

• Mix with students in groups or private settings.

• Engage with class representatives, teachers, assistants, and the principal, and ask all your questions.

• Visit the library.

• Explore the course books.

• Stay at Osteon for free and experience the connection between students and the education. Don't be surprised when students continue to practice techniques late into the evening. Osteon is akin to high-end sports, where teammates gather in a remote place to connect, train, and grow together.

If none of the 4 dates of the practical weekends suits you, check out the postgraduates dates at Osteon and visit your education during one of the postgraduate courses.

Clinical work

You have multiple options to explore osteopathy and clinical work:

• Each practical course weekend at Osteon features three blocks of 110-minute case apprenticeships. Here, final-year students treat real patients under supervision. The final-year student explains each step in the thinking process, including finger positioning in tests, interpreting test results, and implications for further clinical reasoning. You can experience osteopathy firsthand as a patient (though this is not obligatory) and witness the level of education and its students.

• You are invited to visit the clinic at Osteon during case weekends. These full days consist of patient treatment sessions by students, accompanied by intense tutoring and feedback sessions. Come and grow alongside the students. Contact us to check the schedule and availability. At Osteon, all tutors undergo didactic training. A good osteopath is not by default a good teacher and a teacher is not necessarily a good tutor, which is why tutors at Osteon receive specific clinical tutor training. Come and experience the level of tutoring firsthand.

• The private clinic of the principal offers one of the most intense clinical learning experiences. In this 1-1-1 setting, each treatment session lasts 40 minutes and involves one real patient, one student, and one tutor. You have 10 minutes of private time with the patient to practice your anamnestic skills, clinical reasoning, and differential diagnosis. Afterward, the tutor and student work together to treat the patient, providing private tutoring on real cases. Come and grow with us. Enter with a minimum of three personal learning objectives and leave with a huge smile. Contact us to check dates and availability.
